Head of Learning Support

Job Summary:
St John's Preparatory School invites applications for the position of Head of Learning Support.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and dynamic professional to lead and develop our Learning Support Department, ensuring that every boy is given the tools to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

1. The ability to develop the profile of the department through curriculum, systems and people.

2. A deep passion for early intervention and support.

3.  Knowledge and skills to develop extension opportunities for learners.

4. IT skills in building integrated learning approaches.

5. Experience in conducting assessments to identify and support learning needs.

6. Strong skills in liaising and communicating with parents, offering guidance and feedback to support boys' development.

7. The ability to work with teachers while also providing visionary leadership to the Learning Support team.

8.  Ability to work with learners from Grade 1 to Grade 7.

9.  A commitment to embracing the ethos of holistic education and living out empathy, respect and integrity.

10. The successful candidate will be a professional who recognises the importance of nurturing potential, fostering resilience, and supporting learners and teachers in the pursuit of growth and achievement.
