  • Design the change process and communication to formally establish the procurement function within the Foundation.
  • Formulate and implement procurement strategies, policy, controls and delegation of authorities with procurement overseeing the entire cycle from initial proposal to product/services delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a preferred supplier list. Maintain a contract database to manage all contracts, including templates and renewals.
  • Conduct market and supplier research, understand market dynamics and value for money goals, translate into organization best practices and collaborate to evolve organizational strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a procurement item catalogue and establish cost categories for standard purchases.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to deliver best in class products and services, ensuring favorable terms for the organization.
  • Negotiate key contracts.
  • Evaluate and adopt technology solutions to enhance tracking and reporting, including Service Now and Workday as core enablers.
  • Develop training and craft communication of such to inform Foundation of the Procurement processes, ensure adherence to policy and controls and build procurement capabilities.
  • Manage strategic procurement plan and give input on tactical purchasing activities (such as contract management and accounts payable).
  • Business case presentation preparation includes running RFQs/RFPs/EOIs etc.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers and vendors, coaching internal business partners.
  • Monitor purchasing activities, ensuring business and system processes are aligned for efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, tax, and legal requirements in all procurement activities.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to analyse large data sets, identify trends, and generate meaningful reports for informed decision-making.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management or any related field.
  • Member of a relevant professional body.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, preferably within a medium to large retail, manufacturing, or supply chain organization.
  • Experience in International procurement strategies, supply chain management, negotiations, and Vendor relationship management.
  • Previous negotiation experience is a must. Project management experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Workday (ERP), Service Now.
  • Familiarity with best-in-class contract life cycle and risk management systems.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.
  • Possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate information to a variety of constituents across cultures.
  • Possess professional maturity, sensitivity with different cultures, and impeccable integrity.
