Key Responsibilities

  1. Infrastructure Management
  • Oversee and maintain server infrastructure, including the proposed virtual machine (VM) server.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Starlink internet and UniFi Wi-Fi 6 network systems.
  • Manage time-limited voucher systems for student internet access.
  • Schedule regular maintenance for IT hardware such as desktops, laptops, and the anatomage device.
  1. Technical Support
  • Provide first-line ICT support to faculty, students, and administrative staff.
  • Vet faculty laptops for security and network compatibility.
  • Train faculty and staff in basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Assist with implementing remote access solutions for senior leadership.
  1. Data and Security
  • Ensure operational data security and backup systems.
  • Monitor and address cybersecurity risks.
  • Develop and enforce organizational IT policies and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, such as GDPR or equivalent frameworks.
  1. Learning Management System (LMS) Administration
  • Manage and provide technical support for CAMU, the College’s Learning Management System.
  • Ensure smooth integration of CAMU with other IT systems to enhance academic delivery and management.
  • Train faculty and students on using CAMU effectively, including troubleshooting common issues.
  1. Strategic IT Planning
  • Develop and implement strategic ICT plans to align with the College’s educational, research, and administrative goals.
  • Identify and recommend emerging technologies to enhance teaching, learning, and operational efficiency.
  1. Data Analytics and Reporting
  • Utilize data analytics tools to generate reports for decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve ICT infrastructure and user satisfaction.
  1. Collaboration with Digital Marketing Officer
  • Provide technical support for the Digital Marketing Officer’s tools and platforms.
  • Facilitate seamless integration between marketing resources and the college’s IT systems.
  1. Capacity Building
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions on ICT tools and technologies.
  • Support the adoption and integration of new technologies across the institution.
  1. General Administration
  • Document ICT procedures and maintain an updated ICT asset inventory.
  • Provide support for events requiring ICT and AV setups.
  • Provide weekly updates to the Director of Administration and other stakeholders.
  • Promote sustainable ICT practices, including energy-efficient technologies and responsible disposal of electronic waste.
  1. Inclusivity in Technology
  • Design and deliver training sessions that include the use of assistive technologies to support accessibility for all users.
  • Ensure all ICT solutions meet the accessibility needs of diverse users.
  1. Additional Support Responsibilities
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including user account management and equipment configuration.
  • Maintain and update a knowledge base and online user guides for common technical issues.
  • Manage the access control system to ensure secure access to the school.
  • Support educational software and online learning platform usage.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT support, network management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in server and network management tools.
  • Familiarity with Starlink internet systems and UniFi Wi-Fi routers is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
