LEGAL OFFICER

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful applicant must: 

1. A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree
2. Master of Laws (LLM)
3. Be enrolled at the Ghana Bar Association
4. Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience

DUTIES 

The Legal Officer, under the supervision of the Head of Legal Services Unit, shall assist in:

1. Providing legal advice on all University related matters
2. Drafting, reviewing, and interpreting agreements involving the University
3. Representing or ensuring that the University is appropriately represented in all litigation;
4. Reviewing external legal services provided to the University to ensure that they meet the highest professional standards
5. Advising on employment contracts, disciplinary procedures, grievances, and labour disputes.
6. Reviewing activities of the University to ensure compliance with appropriate laws.
7. Discharge any other related assignment that the Head of Legal Services shall deem necessary.
