LOCUM NURSE

Job Description

DTI is seeking a qualified and dedicated Locum Nurse to provide medical assistance to learners of the Institute. The successful candidate will support patient care, educate learners on various health conditions, and provide health guidance and emotional support where necessary.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
• Provide first aid and primary healthcare support to learners and staff
• Assess, treat, and refer patients where appropriate
• Educate learners on health, wellness, and preventive healthcare practices
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information
• Monitor and manage medical supplies and equipment within the clinic
• Support health awareness campaigns and wellness initiatives across the Institute
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and health-related incidents on campus

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing)
• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid professional licence
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
• Proficiency in patient care, record keeping, and basic health administration

𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a clinical or healthcare setting
• Demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
• Experience working with young adults or within an educational institution is an advantage
