MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician to conduct routine laboratory tests and procedures in the areas of hematology, clinical chemistry and microbiology, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, record test results, monitor quality control procedures, etc.

Key Responsibilities
• Collecting and preparing specimens for analysis including centrifuging, separating and staining.
• Perform routine laboratory tests in the areas of hematology, clinical chemistry and microbiology.
• Knowledge of laboratory information systems.
• Record and report test results accurately and timely.
• Monitor quality control procedures and report deviations.
• Following laboratory safety policies and procedures.
• Following all policies, SOPs and manuals deployed at the lab.

Requirements
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) 
• At least 1-3 years of experience in a medical laboratory, hospital or clinic.
• Good or working knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures related to haematology, clinical chemistry and microbiology.
• Valid practicing license
• Completion of internship and NYSC (where applicable)
• Good analytical and communication skill.
