Job Description:
The Port Field Officer will serve as the on-ground representative of the logistics team at the port, supervising cargo loading and offloading, liaising with port authorities, transporters, and clients to ensure smooth operations. The role requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to maintain efficiency and safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and coordinate cargo handling, loading, and offloading activities at the port.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with customs and port regulations.
- Liaise with port officials, clients, and transporters to ensure seamless operations.
- Track shipments and report any delays or issues to the operations team.
- Conduct inspections to verify the condition and accuracy of cargo.
- Maintain daily operational reports and submit timely updates.
- Support the logistics team in planning and execution of port operations.
- Enforce safety and operational standards at all times.
