Role Purpose:  

The Relationship Manager is responsible for building relationship with potential and existing priority clients with the main objective of growing the Bank’s asset and liability Portfolio in line with the Bank's policy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of platinum banking clients, building strong relationships to drive loyalty and long-term value.
  • Mobilize deposits and grow assets through proactive engagement with new and existing customers.
  • Identify customer needs and provide appropriate financial solutions, including loans, cards, digital banking, and investment products.
  • Source and onboard new customers to expand the priority banking portfolio.
  • Identify lending opportunities, conduct initial credit assessments, and recommend suitable credit solutions in line with policy.
  • Book quality consumer loans and ensure proper documentation and compliance with credit requirements.
  • Monitor loan facilities to ensure adherence to approved terms and proactively manage repayment performance.
  • Cross-sell the Bank’s products and services to deepen customer relationships and increase share of wallet.
  • Provide prompt and professional service to enhance customer experience and retention.
  • Maintain accurate customer information and ensure all documentation meets regulatory and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely processing of client requests and resolution of issues.
  • Stay informed on product features, market trends, and competitor offerings to better serve clients.


KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS   

  • Contribution to deposit growth within assigned portfolio
  • Growth in consumer loans and advances
  • Number of new clients acquired
  • Cross-sell ratio across bank products
  • Quality of loan portfolio (reduction in non-performing loans)
  • Timely monitoring of approved facilities
  • Compliance with credit and documentation requirements
  • Frequency and quality of client engagement
  • Customer retention and relationship deepening
  • Customer satisfaction and responsiveness


QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration or any related field
  • Minimum of five years’ relevant experience in platinum banking
