KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Sales Leadership
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise and SMB customers.
- Guide pre-sales cybersecurity strategy and value articulation.
- Own and drive cybersecurity advisory engagements.
Solution Design & Client Engagement
- Design and propose tailored cybersecurity solutions.
- Managed SOC (Security Operations Center) services delivery.
- Incident response and threat detection.
- Conduct security Risk & Compliance (GRC) assessments.
- Translate business needs into technical architectures and service models.
Pre-Sales & Technical Execution
- Oversee and deliver Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects.
- Ensure alignment of RFP/RFT responses with delivery capabilities.
Collaboration with SOC & Delivery Teams
- Work closely with SOC analysts, engineers, and R&D engineers.
- Align technical solutions with client business objectives.
- Ensure smooth handover to delivery teams.
Revenue Growth & Pipeline Management
- Drive MSS and IT advisory revenue growth.
- Identify new business opportunities across critical IT and security domains.
- Achieve set sales targets, revenue, profit.
- Contribute to market intelligence and advisory reports.
Market Positioning & Thought Leadership
- Represent Virtual Infosec Africa at industry forums, webinars, and events.
- Contribute to regulatory research and positioning.
- Build strategic thought leadership, including podcasts and whitepapers.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in cybersecurity or at least 12+ years in technical sales or IT advisory roles.
Strong hands-on or advisory experience in SOC operations.
SIEM platforms (LogRhythm and threat detection systems).
Proven track record in selling Managed Security Services or cybersecurity solutions.
Experience in Proof-of-Concept delivery and enterprise client engagement.
Certifications (Preferred)
CompTIA Security+ or similar certification.
CSA (Certified SOC Analyst) or equivalent.
SOC vendor certifications (LogRhythm or a similar solution).
Additional certifications in GRC, cloud security, or penetration testing are an advantage.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
MSS and IT Advisory revenue growth.
Pipeline value and conversion rate.
Successful delivery of PoC/POV and technical wins.
Customer acquisition and retention rates.
Contribution to market positioning and brand credibility.
