Essential Duties
- Execute accurate sampling and analysis to assist grade control operations.
- Administer detailed records of geological data to support mine geology deliverables.
- Liaise with Drill and Blast, engineers and ops to align grade control activities with production goals.
- Assess compliance with safety standards during fieldwork and sampling activities.
- Supervise team members on proper sampling techniques and tools.
- Assist the integration of sampling data into grade control software for decision-making.
- Execute quality checks on geological data to confirm accuracy.
- Solve issues related to sampling equipment and data integrity.
- Prepare detailed reports on grade control outcomes for team members.
- Provide improvements to grade control protocols based on operational feedback.
Training & Experience
- Completes concrete procedural tasks
- Follows procedural steps to complete work
- Uses practical judgment to overcome problems, or requests assistance
- Sees alternatives based on trial & error
- Improves working methods using day-to-day experiences, procedures, observations of pattern of events, and trial and error
- Prior experience in the mining industry preferred.
- Mentally and physically fit.
- Able to speak, read and write English.
- Must Possess a Class 6 PNG Drivers Licence
