Job Purpose:
To provide accurate translation services while performing essential administrative duties to support the smooth operation of the office.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
* Provide accurate written translation of documents between Chinese and English
* Conduct verbal interpretation during meetings, conferences, and calls
* Review and proofread translated materials for accuracy
* Maintain terminology databases and translation memory tools
* Handle confidential documents with discretion
* Adapt translations for cultural appropriateness.
* Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to office staff and management, including handling correspondence, filing, and scheduling meetings and receiving visitors.
* Other Administrative Duties: Assist the Department in completing other daily tasks, such as planning and executing company events.
Required Skills or Experience:
Minimum qualification (s)
* Bachelor's degree in Translation, Chinese, or related field
Experience (Minimum)
* Minimum of 3 years in Translation or Administration
Knowledge (In-depth)
* Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
Skills:
* Excellent Chinese and English skill.
* Communication and Coordination: Excellent communication and coordination abilities, capable of maintaining effective communication with internal and external parties.
* Strong cross-cultural communication skills * Time Management: able to multi-task with efficiency and quality.
* Problem-Solving and result-oriented: Capable of responding to unexpected situations promptly and providing timely feedbacks.
* Confidentiality: Strong sense of confidentiality, able to manage and handle important information properly.
* Excellent in Microsoft Office Software: Proficient in using office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) to efficiently complete daily work.
* Self-motivated: Highly organized, able to structure work systematically, with strong attention to detail to avoid all possible errors.
* Service-oriented: Strong service mentality, demonstrating initiative and responsibility when assisting superiors and supporting colleagues.
