Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of heavy-duty equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will ensure maximum equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and manage maintenance teams effectively in a demanding operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities for heavy-duty equipment and machinery
- Develop preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
- Ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely at all times
- Diagnose mechanical and technical faults and oversee repairs
- Manage maintenance teams, contractors, and workshop operations
- Monitor maintenance budgets, inventory, and spare parts usage
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Recommend equipment upgrades and operational improvements
- Coordinate with operations teams to minimize equipment downtime
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and management
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty machinery and maintenance systems
- Experience within mining, construction, or industrial environments is an advantage
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
- Knowledge of safety and maintenance compliance standards
