About the Role
We are seeking a highly competent, experienced, and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to manage our day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate financial records, ensure statutory compliance, support financial reporting, and manage credit and cash effectively. This role requires a self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately record and process all financial transactions in a timely manner.
- Oversee accounts receivable/payable, customer collections, and supplier payments.
- Prepare bank, cash, and mobile money reconciliations; maintain general ledger accuracy.
- Generate monthly management accounts, financial reports, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor project costs and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
- Prepare and submit statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, SSNIT, Withholding Tax).
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and internal policies.
- Support internal/external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Perform additional finance-related duties as assigned.
Collaboration
This role will work closely with the Outdoor, Production, Marketing/Sales, Procurement, and Administrative teams to support operational and financial goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional Certification: Part III Qualified or Finalist in ACCA, ICA Ghana, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting experience, with proven ability to independently manage accounting processes, reporting, reconciliations, and statutory compliance.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Ghanaian tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting practices.
