We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Collection Officer to manage debt recovery and ensure timely loan repayments.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience within financial services, banking, or microfinance, with excellent negotiation and customer management skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely repayments
- Contact customers via calls, emails, and field visits
- Negotiate repayment plans and payment arrangements
- Monitor delinquent accounts and escalate high-risk cases
- Maintain accurate records of collections and customer interactions
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports
- Ensure compliance with collection policies and financial regulations
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–4 years' experience in collections within banking, microfinance, or financial services
- Strong knowledge of debt recovery and credit management processes
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
