Job Summary
A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Ghana is seeking a driven, disciplined, and customer-focused Accounts Officer / Recovery Executive to play a critical role in safeguarding revenue while strengthening customer relationships. This role is ideal for a professional who combines firm accounting procedures and recovery execution with empathy, strong negotiation skills, and sound ethical judgment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing overdue accounts through a combination of strategic tele-engagement and structured field visits, ensuring timely recovery while preserving long-term customer trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recovery account records, call logs, and visit reports.
- Proactively engage customers via phone and in person to follow up on outstanding payments.
- Conduct structured field visits to customer locations to support recovery efforts.
- Negotiate realistic and mutually agreeable repayment plans where necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the Accounts team to ensure payment reconciliation and accuracy.
- Prepare and submit periodic recovery performance reports to management.
- Handle customer disputes professionally and escalate complex cases where necessary.
- Consistently achieve assigned recovery targets while upholding company values and ethical standards.
- Build respectful and professional relationships that balance firmness with customer care.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- HND or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management, or a related field.
- 2–4 years’ experience in accounting, collections, credit recovery, or Sales and marketing
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding recovery or revenue targets.
- Strong verbal communication and persuasive negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage difficult conversations with professionalism and confidence.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel locally for field assignments.
- A valid driver’s licence.
