JOB DESCRIPTION
The Loan Officer is responsible for sourcing, assessing, disbursing, and recovering loans while maintaining strong client relationships. The role focuses on customer acquisition, credit assessment, loan monitoring, and timely repayment to support portfolio growth and minimize credit risk.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Source and onboard new loan clients.
Assess loan applications and evaluate customer creditworthiness.
Disburse approved loans in line with company policies.
Monitor loan portfolios and ensure timely repayments.
Follow up on overdue loans and support recovery efforts.
Maintain accurate client and loan records.
Provide excellent customer service and client education on loan products.
Prepare basic reports on loan performance and collections.
REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma, HND, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
0-2 years of experience in lending, credit analysis, or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with financial data and software
Knowledge of loan products and services
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Salary
1,500 - 1,500 GHS
