Assistant Legal Counsel

Job Summary:
Guinness Ghana is seeking a qualified and licensed legal professional to join our team as an Assistant Legal Counsel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial law and contract management, providing practical, commercially focused legal advice to support our business operations. This role requires engaging with senior stakeholders and interpreting complex regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice and support across various business functions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements.
• Interpret complex regulatory matters and ensure compliance with applicable laws in Ghana.
• Engage with and advise senior stakeholders on legal risks and strategic business decisions.
• Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.

Key Requirements:

• Must be qualified and licensed to practice law in Ghana.
• At least four (4) years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong background in commercial law and contract management.
• Excellent analytical, research, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice.
• Demonstrated experience in interpreting complex regulatory matters.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
