Electrical Technician

The duties of the Position ELECTRCAL TECHNICIAN include the following.
Ø Interpretation of electrical drawings
Ø Installation of electrical cables
Ø Installation of cable ladders
Ø Installation of Electrical Panel and Switch gears.
Ø Supervision of electricians

MAIN RESPONSIBILITY
ASSESSMENT
Ø Examine and generate reports for NEW or EXISTING electrical systems.
INSTALLATION
Ø Install electrical equipment and its control systems with other auxiliaries.
Ø Test Electrical systems or electronic circuit using Instruments
MAINTENACE
Ø Replace faulty electrical or electronic parts and components.
TESTING
Ø Test electrical/ electronic systems with the following instruments
1.    Insulation resistance tester
2.    Digital Multimeter
3.    Earth continuity tester
4.    Power Analyzer
Ø Calibrate Instrument
TROUBLESHOOTING
Ø Capable of troubleshooting electrical/ electronic systems such as
1.    Pumps
2.    Motors
3.    Hoist 
4.    Scada / PLC Systems

DOCUMENTATION
Ø Generate reports from work and Project work.
Ø Read and interpret drawings for Project execution.
Ø Keep records of tasks carried out on daily or weekly basis where applicable
COLLABORATION
Ø Support other Team members to achieve a set task.
Ø Support other contractors
Ø Support electricians when applicable.
COMPLIANCE
Ø Strictly adhere to all safety protocols for all work and Project execution.
Ø Conduct risk assessment but perform task within safe standards
