JOB PURPOSE
To support the enforcement of laws, regulations, and directives through effective market surveillance, inspections, and regulatory actions. The role ensures compliance by insurance market operators, protects policyholders, and promotes fair, transparent, and ethical conduct within the industry.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct market surveillance activities through mystery shopping, advertisements monitoring, desk reviews, and other approved regulatory tools.
- Monitor companies, intermediaries, and related entities for compliance with regulations, guidelines, and market conduct standards.
- Identify emerging market conduct risks, unethical practices, and potential consumer protection issues.
- Maintain investigation records and evidence in line with regulatory standards.
- Prepare monthly market surveillance and enforcement reports for the attention of the Unit Head.
    - Document findings, trends, and risk indicators observed during monitoring activities.
- Draft regulatory correspondence, notices, and internal briefing notes on enforcement actions and suspected infractions reported from internal and external sources.
- Support reviewing complaints, whistleblower reports, and suspected infraction reports received from internal and external sources.
- Gather, analyze, and preserve evidence in support of enforcement actions.
- Prepare enforcement reports with findings and recommendations for the attention of the Unit Head.
- Draft penalty letters, warnings, directives, and enforcement notices in accordance with applicable insurance laws and enforcement guidelines.
- Support the compilation and application of administrative sanctions and where applicable.
- Track enforcement actions, compliance timelines, and responses from regulated entities.
- Assist in the planning and conduct of on-site inspections and regulatory examinations of institutions and intermediaries.
- Support inspection teams in reviewing records, interviewing and documenting findings.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Expertise/Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification in insurance (e.g. ACII, CII) or Law is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ relevant experience in insurance supervision, enforcement, compliance, audit, or investigations.
