Job purpose
- The Finance Business Partner is responsible for the performance measurement and providing support for all finance activities for strategic business units and cost centres.
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate impact of new and updated accounting standards and designing relevant models for their implementation
- Assist with preparation of the relevant data for impairment computation, updating the impairment model and raising relevant entries to be passed each month.
- Collate and Prepare the Annual Capex Budget ·
- Review Weekly Variance Analysis on the Banks Performance
- Report to BOG on the Deposit position of financial Institutions held with the Bank ·
- Management of Non-Performing Loans Company in T24 and assist Recoveries to confirm settlement amount on defaulted accounts ·
- Track the bank’s lease agreements, update the IFRS 16 lease model and raise relevant entries to be passed monthly ·
- Review monthly staff salaries ·
- Creating Internal Accounts in T24 and GL maintenance
- Prepare Annual Budget for the SBU’S ·
- Review Monthly Variance Report for SBU’s ·
- Review Quarterly Performance Report for SBU’s ·
- Prepare new branch forecast for regulatory approval ·
- Business case analysis for new products and services Management of Vision BI to ensure reliable information
Qualifications (Key technical skills/knowledge required for position
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in Account or Finance or any related field
- Part qualification in any of the following or related certification: ·
- Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG). ·
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). ·
- Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) Institute.
Skills:
- Minimum of six years’ relevant experience with the finance sector and knowledge in Corporate, Consumer and Commercial Banking
- Advanced user of MS Excel and Power BI ·
- Deep understanding the nature of the business
- Ability to work under time and people pressure
