Job Summary
The Finance Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and controlling the financial activities of the organization. This role ensures effective financial management, compliance with regulatory standards, accurate reporting, and strategic financial support to management to drive business growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
- Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis and insights
- Support management with financial decision-making and scenario analysis
Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records in line with accounting standards
- Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and closing processes
- Coordinate external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit queries
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity
- Monitor bank accounts, payments, and receipts
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions
- Optimize funding, investments, and cost control initiatives
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory requirements, and internal policies
- Prepare and submit tax returns and statutory reports on time
- Identify financial risks and implement appropriate controls
- Strengthen internal control systems and financial governance
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Professional qualification (ACCA, ICAG, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage
- Minimum of 5–8 years relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and taxation
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
