Finance Manager (Accounting Background) – ShaQ Express - Ghc6000 - Ghc8000
Location: Accra, Ghana (with possible travel to Kumasi and other regions)
Key Responsibilities
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Oversee daily financial operations, including:
• Bank reconciliations, receivables and payables management.
• Monitoring daily revenue collection, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
• Payroll processing and expense management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (GRA, SSNIT, VAT, Withholding Tax, Registrar General).
• Develop and enforce internal financial controls and risk management systems.
• Manage cost-saving initiatives and recommend strategies to improve financial efficiency.
• Prepare financial and management reports for the CEO, board, investors, and partners.
• Coordinate audits and maintain statutory financial records.
• Support fundraising, financing, and investor relations.
• Implement and manage appropriate ERP/financial systems to enhance efficiency and reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (mandatory).
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ICA Ghana, CIMA, or CPA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in finance, accounting, or audit roles.
• Strong emphasis on accounting background — including reconciliations, revenue assurance, tax compliance, and statutory reporting.
• Candidates with an accounting background who demonstrate capacity for financial management and strategic planning are encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Ghanaian tax laws.
• Proficiency in financial systems and ERP tools.
• High integrity, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
