Job Description

The Finance Officer will be responsible for the financial management of the company, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, analyzed, and reported. The officer will prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with financial policies and statutory requirements.

He or she will oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, support audits, and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets. The role also includes managing payroll, preparing tax returns, and assisting management with financial planning and decision-making.

The Finance Officer will work closely with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and contribute to the overall efficiency and transparency of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Record and reconcile all financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and monitor company budgets and forecasts.
• Handle payroll processing and statutory deductions (SSNIT, PAYE, VAT, etc.).
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Ghana’s financial and tax regulations.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Provide management with regular financial updates and analysis.
