Role Summary:
Financial Analysts in government departments manage budgeting, financial reporting, and fiscal planning. They ensure the efficient use of public funds, cost control, and financial compliance with government treasury regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze annual budgets, forecasts, and financial statements
  • Monitor expenditures against approved budgets and flag variances
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for government projects and programs
  • Assist in preparing financial proposals and PC-1 forms for development projects
  • Ensure compliance with public financial management rules and regulations
  • Coordinate with internal and external audit teams
  • Develop financial models and risk assessments
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and reconciliations

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • ACCA (affiliate/member), MBA (Finance), M.Com, or equivalent
  • Preference for candidates with CA (Inter) or PIPFA certification
  • Strong understanding of public sector accounting, IFRS, and SAP/ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling
  • Excellent numerical ability, attention to detail, and integrity
  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience (preferred)
