Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Import Officer to manage and oversee import processes, ensure compliance with Ghana Customs and regulatory requirements, and facilitate smooth clearance of imported goods. This role is ideal for professionals with strong knowledge of ICUMS, HS Codes, and import permits.
Requirements:
· Prepare Import Declaration Forms (IDFs) with the correct HS Codes.
· Submit Bills of Entry (BOE) on ICUMS.
· Apply for and obtain all necessary import permits (e.g., GSA, EPA, FDA, Energy Commission, and others as required).
· Liaise with customs, freight forwarders, regulatory agencies, and internal departments to ensure efficient import clearance.
· Ensure all imports adhere to Ghana Customs and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Minimum of 2–4 years experience in import documentation, customs processes, or logistics operations.
· Strong knowledge of ICUMS, HS Codes, and regulatory permit processes (GSA, FDA, EPA, etc.).
· Experience in a retail, FMCG, or any trading company.
