ROLE PROFILE
AFC Commercial Bank, a subsidiary of AFC Holdings, seeks to recruit three (3) Merchant Services Analysts to join the Retail Banking Division. Reporting to the Merchant Services Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for strengthening customer experience, supporting branch networks, and executing merchant acquisition strategies to drive the Bank’s payments growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Handling the end‑to‑end onboarding process for new merchants and providing ongoing operational support.
- Identifying and acquiring new customers as per set targets to drive POS and e‑commerce business growth.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients through regular visits and business reviews.
- Conducting merchant performance analytics and preparing regular sales reports, including performance metrics and customer insights.
- Promoting and cross selling the Bank’s products and services to maximize revenue generation.
- Supporting branch teams with merchant‑related queries and providing technical guidance where necessary.
- Ensuring smooth coordination with Digital Transformation, IT, and Operations departments to resolve system or integration issues.
- Executing business‑oriented strategies focused on merchant engagement and payments ecosystem expansion.
Job Skills and Competencies
- Strongly business‑focused with a proven ability to acquire new merchants.
- Sound knowledge of POS management and e‑commerce payment strategies.
- Ability to interpret merchant data to drive revenue generation and strategic engagement.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to support branch teams and liaise with technical units.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related commercial field.
- 3 years proven experience in merchant services, payments and digital banking.
- Understanding of the payments’ ecosystem and digital channel profitability.
- Clean Class 4 Drivers Licence.
