Role Summary
As a Portfolio Manager & Fund Management Associate, you will play a critical role in managing client portfolios, supporting fund operations, and conducting in-depth market research. You will work closely with senior management to develop and execute investment strategies that align with client objectives and regulatory requirements while contributing to the firm's overall growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Management: Construct, manage, and monitor client portfolios (institutional and individual) in alignment with their investment mandates, risk tolerance, and financial goals.
  • Fund Management Support: Assist in the day-to-day management of mutual funds and unit trusts, including monitoring fund performance, ensuring accurate Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, and managing liquidity.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct rigorous fundamental and quantitative analysis on equities, fixed income, and alternative investments, with a strong focus on the Ghanaian and West African markets.
  • Investment Strategy: Provide recommendations to the investment committee regarding asset allocation, security selection, and portfolio rebalancing.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all investment activities adhere to the regulations set forth by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Ghana and the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE).
  • Client Reporting: Prepare detailed investment performance reports, market commentary, and pitch decks for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Risk Management: Continuously monitor portfolio risk metrics and implement strategies to mitigate potential financial exposure.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Must have passed the Ghana Investment and Securities Institute (GISI) examination.
  • CFA designation or candidacy is a strong added advantage.
  • Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in portfolio management, investment research, or fund management, preferably within the Ghanaian financial sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and portfolio management software (e.g., Bloomberg Terminal).
