Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of assigned programmes or thematic portfolios.
• Prepare annual work plans, budgets, and progress reports aligned with the Centre’s strategic plan.
• Coordinate partnerships with governments, intergovernmental institutions, DFIs, and think tanks.
• Supervise consultants, technical experts, and project officers.
• Organize conferences, fellowships, research collaborations, and stakeholder dialogues.
• Produce knowledge products, policy briefs, and technical papers.
• Ensure compliance with the Centre’s governance, ethics, and reporting standards.
• Manage complex programme activities and deliver results under tight timelines.
Requirements:
• Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Governance, Political Science, Law, Economics, International Relations, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years’ relevant experience in programme design, implementation, or policy coordination.
• Demonstrated understanding of Africa’s political, economic, and governance landscape.
• Proven ability to manage multi-country initiatives and engage senior-level stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English (required); working knowledge of French, Arabic, or Portuguese highly desirable.
• Commitment to gender equality, inclusion, and collaborative governance.
