What you would be doing

You will provide essential operational and logistical support to ensure the smooth functioning of consortium activities, working closely with the Senior Project Manager, VERG leadership, and international partners across Asia and Africa.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead on operational and logistical arrangements for the WaSPP conference for around 150 attendees to take place within the UK
  • Lead on operational and logistical arrangements for travel to partner sites, handling all expense claims in line with College policy.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all consortium activities.
  • Support day-to-day financial aspects of the Hub, including raising purchase orders, setting up new suppliers, and working with Imperial’s Joint Research Office to provide financial information for reports to funders.
  • Support the Hub’s external communications, including assisting the Senior Project Manager in keeping the WaSPP website updated
  • Provide operational and logistical support for other activities led by VERG

 What we are looking for

Essential requirements:

  • Educated to at least A-Level standard or have relevant equivalent professional experience or training.
  • Experience of working in large and complex organisations, especially in higher education.
  • Experience of providing a range of administrative support for projects.
  • Experience of basic financial management and reporting including processing invoices and expenses.
  • Excellent personal organisation and the ability to meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Ability to show initiative and take decisions on routine matters, exercising judgment on when to refer issues to management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of professionalism.
  • Experience in organising external meetings and events
