PUBLIC AREA ATTENDANT

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Public Area Attendants to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in all public spaces of the hotel. This role specifically requires proficiency with scrubbing machines and experience in carpet shampooing.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all public areas including lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms, and function rooms.
• Operate industrial scrubbing machines, polishers, and carpet shampooing equipment effectively and safely.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing, floor stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Empty waste bins and ensure proper disposal of garbage.
• Monitor and restock restroom supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously.
• Follow all cleaning schedules, checklists, and safety protocols.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after each use.

Key Requirements

• Minimum HND or equivalent qualification (experience may be considered in lieu).
• Must have proven experience operating scrubbing machines (floor buffers/scrubbers).
• Must have proven experience in carpet shampooing (hot water extraction / steam cleaning).
• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning is an added advantage.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and pride in work quality.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
