 ABOUT THE ROLE
Chanrai Brands Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Regulatory & Compliance Officer to manage our relationships with key regulatory bodies and ensure full compliance across all manufacturing operations. You will be the primary liaison with agencies including the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Customs Division, Ghana Standards Authority (GSA), and other relevant bodies. Your work will keep our products compliant, our shipments moving, and our business protected.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- REGULATORY LIAISON: Build and maintain strong working relationships with FDA, GRA, Customs, GSA, EPA, and other regulators. Serve as first point of contact for inspections, audits, and inquiries.
- COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT: Monitor regulatory changes and advise management on impact. Ensure all licenses, permits, certifications, and product registrations are current.
- DOCUMENTATION & FILINGS: Prepare, submit, and follow up on all regulatory filings, import/export permits, tax exemptions, product registrations, and compliance reports.
- CUSTOMS & TRADE COMPLIANCE: Manage HS code classification, customs valuation, duty exemptions, and ensure smooth clearance of raw materials and finished goods.
- INTERNAL AUDITS: Conduct routine compliance checks across production, QA/QC, warehouse, and finance to ensure adherence to FDA cGMP, GRA tax requirements, and customs regulations.
- RISK MITIGATION: Identify compliance gaps, investigate incidents of non-conformance, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- TRAINING: Train staff on regulatory requirements, SOPs, and ethical compliance practices.
- REPORTING: Provide monthly compliance dashboards and updates to senior management.

REQUIREMENTS 
- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Pharmacy, Food Science, Regulatory Affairs, Business Administration, or related field. Professional certification in compliance/regulatory affairs is a plus. 
- EXPERIENCE: 3–5 years in regulatory/compliance role within manufacturing, FMCG, pharma, or food & beverage. Direct experience dealing with FDA, GRA, and Customs is required. 
- KNOWLEDGE: Strong understanding of Ghana’s regulatory framework: FDA guidelines, GRA tax & customs procedures, import/export regulations, GSA standards. 
- SKILLS: Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management, high attention to detail, strong written communication for official correspondence, ability to interpret legislation. 
- ATTRIBUTES: Integrity, discretion, proactive problem-solver, able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
