KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess and underwrite insurance risks in line with company guidelines
- Review and approve new business, renewals, endorsements, and policy amendments
- Ensure accurate policy documentation and timely insurance
- Provide technical support and guidance to the underwriting team
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers
- Monitor portfolio performance and recommend strategies to improve profitability
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal underwriting standards
- Support broker relations, corporate business acquisition and client retention strategies
- Drive cross-selling initiatives and contribute to company-wide revenue generation targets
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A professional insurance qualification (ACII, CII, or equivalent) is an added advantage
- Minimum of 6 years of underwriting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior underwriting role
- Strong technical knowledge in insurance underwriting principles and risk assessment
- Excellent analytical, communication, and customer relationship management skills
