Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Chef to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation, and maintaining high standards of kitchen operations, hygiene, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking
Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes, quality standards, and portion sizes.
Ensure all dishes are presented in an appealing and consistent manner.
Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal specials.
Kitchen Operations
Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently during service.
Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation and overall kitchen.
Quality & Safety:
Follow food safety standards (HACCP) and maintain hygiene at all times.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients (FIFO).
Conduct daily checks on equipment and report maintenance needs.
Teamwork & Coordination
Work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food preparation.
Assist in training junior chefs, cooks, and kitchen helpers.
Participate in daily briefings, menu planning, and kitchen meetings.
