Linfra Ghana, a member of the IPT PowerTech Group, is seeking a qualified and experienced Telecom Civil Site Engineer to join its Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising civil construction works, ensuring structural quality, maintaining safety standards, and overseeing the successful execution of telecommunications infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise civil construction works, including site preparation, foundation excavation, reinforcement, and concrete works.
• Oversee telecommunications tower construction, equipment shelter installation, and related infrastructure.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with approved engineering designs and specifications.
• Monitor construction quality through concrete testing, soil testing, and structural inspections.
• Supervise contractors and field teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental (EHS) standards across all project sites.
• Interpret engineering drawings and conduct site surveys to ensure accurate construction.
• Prepare work plans, schedules, progress reports, and project documentation.
• Inspect earthing systems, verify tower alignment, and ensure compliance with technical standards.
• Ensure the safe use of lifting equipment and compliance with working-at-height procedures.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Structural Engineering.
• HND in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering will also be considered.
Requirements
• 3–5 years of practical experience in civil works and structural supervision, preferably in telecommunications or tower construction.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and project management tools.
• Knowledge of civil engineering field testing procedures and quality control standards.
• Experience using surveying instruments and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Willingness to travel and work at project sites across Ghana.
