ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic sales, marketing, and distribution of diagnostic analysers, reagents, and test kits across key customer segments. This role plays a pivotal part in driving revenue growth by democratizing access to laboratory testing through targeted sales efforts, proactive customer engagement, and the development of long-term partnerships with healthcare professionals and institutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales & Business Development
·         Take ownership of the diagnostic product portfolio’s P&L and develop action plans to achieve revenue and market share targets.
·         Generate new business by identifying untapped markets, emerging trends, and competitor activities.
·         Lead negotiations, contract structuring, and proposal development for high-value B2B clients and institutional tenders.
·         Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute market activation campaigns, product launches, and visibility drives.
·         Provide timely sales reports, forecasting insights, and market intelligence to guide strategic decisions.
Doctor & Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Engagement
·         Build and maintain a network of clinical influencers, pathologists, and lab directors to promote adoption and loyalty to product offerings.
·         Conduct detailed product detailing sessions, demonstrations, and hands-on training with doctors and healthcare professionals.
·         Gather clinical feedback and insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.
·         Represent the company in scientific conferences, symposiums, and Continuing Medical Education to reinforce brand presence and scientific credibility.
 
Client Relationship Management & Customer Service
·         Act as the primary contact for key accounts and ensure the highest level of client satisfaction through proactive engagement.
·         Address and resolve service issues, complaints, and product-related queries in a timely and professional manner.
·         Design and implement structured client feedback mechanisms (e.g., surveys, reviews, site visits) and action plans to address pain points.
·         Promote a culture of service excellence and act as an internal advocate for customer needs.
Distribution & Supply Chain Management
·         Develop and execute a robust product distribution plan to ensure consistent availability across customer sites.
·         Liaise closely with procurement and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels, ensuring cost-efficiency without compromising service delivery.
·         Forecast product demand based on market trends, seasonality, and campaign rollouts to prevent stockouts and wastage.
·         Monitor inventory KPIs and propose data-driven process improvements for supply chain optimization.
·         Coordinate with warehousing and delivery agents to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) product deliveries.
 
Internal Collaboration & Product Validation
·         Work closely with the Laboratory Operations team to evaluate and validate new diagnostic analyzers, reagents, and test kits before commercial rollout.
·         Coordinate pilot testing, workflow integration assessments, and performance benchmarking in alignment with ISO and quality management standards.
·         Facilitate internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions with laboratory scientists to ensure operational readiness.
·         Document and present findings from evaluations to inform go-to-market decisions and product positioning strategies.
·         Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Assurance and Operations to ensure product compliance and readiness.

Qualification and Experience
·         Bachelor’s degree in biomedical science, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field.
·         MBA or postgraduate qualification in Sales/Marketing or Healthcare Management is highly desirable.
·         Minimum of 5 years in medical diagnostics or medical equipment sales, with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
·         In-depth knowledge of diagnostic platforms, clinical lab operations, and healthcare procurement systems (public and private).
