In this role, your primary duties and responsibilities will include:  

1. Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and develop a team of BTAs across Africa, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure consistent and effective program design, refinement, and delivery. 
  • Act as a strategic advisor to BTAs, helping them navigate complex program delivery challenges while balancing consistency with regional customization. 
  • Ensure seamless coordination and communication within and with other regions, maintaining alignment with overall program goals and strategic priorities.  
  • Along with the Entrepreneurship & Management Programs (EMP) and Learning & Evaluation teams, create a high-performance culture by establishing and monitoring performance metrics for BTAs to assess impact and effectiveness in program delivery and participant outcomes. 
  • Lead team meetings, training sessions, and debriefs to create a feedback loop and drive continuous improvement within the BTA team. 

2. Curriculum Strategy and Development 

  • Contribute to the overall curriculum strategy, with a specific focus on aligning content with the regional requirements of African markets.  
  • Work closely with the Director of EMP on curriculum development for the Seed Transformation Program, Aspire, and any future entrepreneurship programs.  
  • Oversee the design and execution of STP Immersion Weeks in Africa, ensuring alignment with learning goals and regional business realities. 
  • Ensure that learning materials and program content are up-to-date, relevant, and tailored to regional business environments. 
  • Gather customer insights and feedback to inform curriculum adjustments and ensure the program remains effective and competitive. 

3. Training and Professional Development 

  • Develop and implement a structured process for training BTAs, ensuring alignment on facilitation best practices and curriculum delivery across regions.  
  • Establish a structured onboarding program for new BTAs, incorporating lessons learned and regional insights.  
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing among BTAs to promote consistency and encourage the adoption of best practices. 
  • Ensure BTAs are well-equipped to balance consistency and customization in program delivery, adapting to the unique needs of regional markets.  
  • Model professional boundaries and the scope of the facilitator/BTA role to ensure clear role definition and accountability. 
  • Regularly assess BTA capabilities and training needs, adjusting the development plan as necessary to address gaps. 

4. Program Evaluation and Learning 

  • Assist in developing and implementing a framework to assess program efficacy across regions, including cycle debriefs, customer surveys, and other feedback channels.  
  • Use data and insights to identify gaps and suggest priorities for curriculum and training improvements. 
  • Lead the development of local case studies to capture regional business challenges and successes.  
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the Director of EMP based on data and insights to enhance program relevance and impact.  
  • Establish a continuous improvement loop by aligning program design with real-world business outcomes and participant feedback. 

To be successful in this role, you will bring:  

Education and Experience:   

  • Master’s degree in business or a related field from and a minimum of 7 years of experience in business leadership, management consulting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Strong leadership and team management experience, preferably in a cross-regional or global setting.  
  • Proven track record in designing and executing business education or professional development programs. 
  • Deep understanding of African business environments and market dynamics.  
  • Excellent project management and strategic thinking skills.  
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels. 
  • Ability to manage complex projects and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

In addition, requirements include: 

  • Be legally authorized to work in Ghana or Kenya  
  • Ability to travel locally and/or internationally with occasional overnight travel  
  • May work variable hours, evenings or weekends
