Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Earthworks Engineer to join our team in Banyuwangi, Indonesia. This position is responsible for designing and supervising the execution of excavation, earthmoving, and compaction work on civil engineering projects to ensure compliance with established project specifications, codes, standards, safety, and quality systems.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily earthwork activities, including excavation (cut), embankment (fill), and compaction to ensure alignment with approved design RL (Relative Levels).
- Monitor the delivery and spreading of F2 material from various vendors, ensuring volumetric targets are met and compaction activities adhere to design specifications.
- Oversee the installation of LLDPE/HDPE liners and the construction of critical drainage systems, including stormwater and seepage management structures.
- Manage the loading and disposal of unsuitable and excess materials, in accordance with the approved earthwork balance and environmental design.
- Enforce “Stop Work Authority” (TAHAN) to proactively identify and mitigate high-risk activities.
- Oversee the technical requirements for land clearing and tree cutting activities in accordance with ITSP and PPKH regulations.
- Liaise with Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical teams to ensure smooth handovers for foundation works, pipe corridors, and other interfaces.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in bulk earthworks, including heavy equipment mobilization and excavation to design RL.
- Hands-on experience with LLDPE/HDPE liner installation and complex drainage construction (Spine Drains/Concrete Canals).
- Familiarity with Indonesian Forestry and mining permits, specifically PPKH and ITSP.
- Competent in managing High-to-Extreme inherent risk.
- Skilled in AutoCAD for volume calculations and progress tracking.
- Able to comply with all Safety regulations of PT. MMS.
