ENGINEERING
SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT (SHE) OFFICER
Performs a complete SHE functions across the whole organization. The Safety (SHE) Officer is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and analyzing work environments and designing programs and procedures to control, eliminate and or prevent disease or injury caused by physical and biological agents or ergonomic factors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government legislation, and regulations.
2. Measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials, ensuring all employees have valid medical surveillance certificates and are fit to work.
3. Conduct pre-audit activities, verify compliance, and write a report on findings requiring corrective actions.
4. Conduct monthly prevention inspections and ensure that records of inspections are maintained and reported at the SHE meetings. Etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Tertiary qualification (National Certificate, Diploma, or Degree) in Health and Safety Management.
• Previous experience in SHE management.
•Sound knowledge of behavioral safety techniques and programs
• Must be energetic, enthusiastic, innovative, and passionate about SHE practice.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Team player. Etc.
