JOB DESCRIPTION
Areas of Responsibility
− Operate excavators and other heavy machinery to perform digging, grading, and moving tasks.
− Conduct pre-operational checks and inspections of the equipment.
− Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to meet excavation and grading specifications.
− Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
− Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.
− Communicate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate tasks.
− Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Experience and Education
− Certification or DVLA license to operate heavy machinery, including excavators.
− A minimum of 5 years of experience operating excavators in construction or mining environments.
− Strong knowledge of heavy machinery operation and safety protocols.
− Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
