 Job Summary:

 The Explosive Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe handling, transporting and storage of ammonium nitrate in compliance with Mincom regulatory. This role ensures full compliance with legal and safety regulations.



 Key Responsibilities:
 • Manage Daily Operations: Plan, conduct risk assessments, and supervise all explosive related activities
 • Coordination: Ensure compliance with local and international explosives regulations and safety standards
 • Team Leadership: Train and supervise personnel involved in handling explosives and investigate and report any incidents or near-misses involving explosives.
 • Cost Management: Maintain accurate records of explosive inventory and update standard operating procedures for explosive operations.
 • Customer Service: Liaise with regulatory bodies, law enforcement, and emergency services as required.
 • Compliance: Respond to emergency breakdowns and coordinate roadside assistance.



 Qualifications:
 • Education: Degree in Mining Engineering, Explosive Engineering or a related field. Valid certification or license to handle explosives (as per local regulations). Should have at least Mines Captain certificate.
 • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in explosive management. Has worked as a blast man for at least 2 years.
 • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate team members to achieve common objectives.
 • Communication Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills and regulatory reporting.
 • Attributes: Ability to work under pressure.

 • Environment: Field and Office
 • Hours: Full-time, with occasional overtime as needed to meet operational demands.
