Position Overview:
The Finance Manager will oversee all financial activities of the logistics company, ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, compliance, and financial planning to support strategic growth. This role requires strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to partner with operations and management teams to drive profitability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Develop and monitor financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and optimize cost structures across logistics operations.
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor revenue streams such as freight, warehousing, distribution, and customs services.
- Implement cost-saving measures, analyze margins, and evaluate pricing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policies.
- Lead audits (internal and external) and ensure proper risk management practices.
- Partner with operations, procurement, and sales teams to evaluate contracts and projects.
- Develop and mentor finance team members to strengthen financial discipline.
- Provide strategic insights to senior management on financial performance and business risks.
Job Qualifications – Finance Manager
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or CIMA is highly desirable.
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Prior experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related industry strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Knowledge of logistics-specific financial metrics (e.g., freight cost per ton, warehouse utilization, fuel cost analysis).
