Job Summary:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Finance Officer to join National Venture Capital Company in Harare, Zimbabwe. As a Finance Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Record-Keeping: Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports, maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.
- Payroll and Statutory Payments: Prepare payroll, ensure timely disbursement of salaries and benefits, calculate and file statutory returns.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial plans, monitor budget performance, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Compliance and Internal Controls: Adhere to organizational financial policies and procedures, ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax laws.
- Audit and Financial Oversight: Assist in internal and external audit processes, ensure audit readiness, implement audit recommendations.
- Cash Flow and Treasury Management: Monitor banking activities, manage cash flow, prepare cash flow forecasts, process payments and disbursements.
- Procurement and Inventory: Assist in planning and managing procurement processes, ensure procurement activities align with organizational policies.
Requirements:
- BSc Honors Degree in Accounting/Finance
- 2 Part ACCA or equivalent is an added advantage
- At least 3 years in progressively responsible finance roles
- Valid Class 4 Driver's License
Skills:
- Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
