ROLE PURPOSE
The HR Operations Officer is responsible for the effective delivery of end-to-end human resource operations, ensuring compliance with labour legislation, efficient HR service delivery, and the implementation of HR systems, policies, and practices that support organizational performance and workforce sustainability. The role combines operational HR execution with people development, performance management, and administrative governance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of HR services across the employee lifecycle.
· Ensure HR processes are standardized, documented, and continuously improved for operational efficiency.
· Ensure full compliance with applicable employment legislation, labour regulations, and internal policies.
· Advise management on employee relations matters, including disciplinary procedures, grievances, performance issues, and workplace conflict resolution.
· Support the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
· Facilitate the organization’s performance management process in alignment with strategic objectives.
· Coordinate annual performance appraisal cycles, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and end-of-year evaluations.
· Coordinate staff onboarding and orientation programmes to ensure effective integration of new employees.
· Support succession planning initiatives to build internal talent pipelines and leadership continuity.
· Assist in change management initiatives by providing HR support, communication, and people-focused interventions.
· Review, and update HR policies and procedures on an annual basis or as required.
· Ensure policies are legally compliant, aligned with organizational strategy, and clearly communicated to employees.
· Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining competent HR and administrative staff.
· Maintain accurate HR data and generate regular HR reports on headcount, turnover, performance, training, and compliance metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant professional experience in HR operations or a similar role.
Demonstrated experience across multiple HR functional areas, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, training, performance management, and office administration.
