Job Summary
AGM Inc. is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems used in mining and mineral processing operations. The successful candidate will help ensure that industrial equipment, monitoring instruments, and automated systems operate safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, inspect, calibrate, and maintain industrial instruments and control systems.
• Troubleshoot faults in sensors, transmitters, control valves, and measurement devices.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on instrumentation equipment.
• Assist with the maintenance of process control systems and related electrical components.
• Perform calibration and functional testing to ensure accurate instrument readings.
• Identify equipment faults and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, calibration, and maintenance activities.
• Follow established safety procedures when working with industrial equipment.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and process operations teams.
Qualifications and Requirements
• A diploma, certificate, or degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• Relevant experience in industrial instrumentation or process control is an advantage.
• Knowledge of calibration procedures, sensors, transmitters, and control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals.
