Job Summary
AGM Inc. is seeking an experienced Powerhouse Mechanic to maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment associated with powerhouse operations. The successful candidate will help ensure the reliable operation of generators, engines, pumps, and other mechanical systems that support mining activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Inspect and maintain generators, engines, pumps, and associated mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on powerhouse machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out necessary repairs.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify signs of wear or malfunction.
• Replace defective components and assist with equipment overhauls.
• Maintain maintenance records and report recurring equipment problems.
• Follow manufacturer recommendations and maintenance schedules.
• Work closely with electrical and operations teams to minimise equipment downtime.
• Observe workplace safety and equipment isolation procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
• A certificate, diploma, or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant experience in industrial maintenance, power generation, or mechanical repair.
• Knowledge of engines, generators, pumps, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and mechanical drawings.
• Strong fault-diagnosis and repair skills.
• Commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.
