The successful candidate will join our team as an Analyst in the Mobile Finance Service (MFS) Department. This individual will report to the MFS Performance and Planning Manager and will provide valuable business performance analysis to help the organization achieve its financial and operational objectives. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and utilize their experience in commercial or operational finance to guide business decisions that will promote growth and strengthen our core business.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Proposition Development and Management
· Develop new product proposals for Business Solutions services, supported by market data and competitive analysis, and develop business cases demonstrating a return on investment;
· Manage the development of new products and services, meeting agreed cost and quality targets;
· Manage in-life products and services on a profit and loss account basis, using financial performance data to make individual product investment and withdrawal decisions;
· Manage product withdrawal and ensure alternative solutions are available to customers;
· Ensure migration path to alternative services is properly planned and changes are effectively communicated;
· Work with relevant stakeholders to develop a competitive price to generate agreed margins for all new and in-life products and services;
· Liaise with marketing communications to develop effective communications on products, services and the brand;
· Develop new campaigns to maintain in-life products and services within the Business Solutions team;
COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS
· Lead commercial strategy for the enterprise business unit;
· Ensure commercial business plan alignment for the enterprise business unit (EBU) in accordance with the wider organization’s commercial objectives;
· Provide direction and insight into EBU Commercial/ Go –To – Market strategies. i.e (Communication, pricing, product, channel, business case, launch plan, customer experience);
· Analyze trends within the telecommunications market, and design Business Solutions strategies that will help meet targets through market research, product and price research;
· Lead product performance management practice process across the EBU and provide performance data to support management decision-making;
· Implement and manage a standardized commercial governance practice across the business unit;
· Develop various commercial and sales propositions for complex deals utilizing competitor, industry, and other insights;
· Provide comprehensive analysis of all product sales, hardware costs, stock levels and recommend the most profitable options to the business;
· Work closely with Bid Management and other relevant stakeholders to define bid scope, validate costs, determine potential efficiencies, and develop compelling proposals for customer requirements;
MARKETING & INNOVATION
· Develop and own the marketing strategy for the enterprise business unit;
· Develop new campaigns to maintain in-life products and services within the Business Solutions team
· Work closely with the Commercial team to ensure alignment of all marketing initiatives;
· Develop compelling digital innovation programs for customers to foster loyalty, deepen relationships and new business opportunities.
Required Qualification and Experience
A University Degree in any field with emphasis on Economics, Marketing, Finance, Management and related disciplines. Possession of an MBA is a plus.
· A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a similar role within the Telecom industry;
· Strong sales and commercial background;
· Proven leadership abilities in a corporate turnaround environment;
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
