Operations Manager / Deputy Project Manager

Job Purpose:
The Operations Manager / Deputy Project Manager is responsible for overseeing daily open-pit mining and quarrying operations across designated project sites. This role requires a licensed Mining Engineer with strong supervisory experience to lead site teams, optimize heavy equipment utilization, and ensure production targets are met safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day open pit mining and quarrying operations to ensure production targets are achieved.
  • Develop and implement operational plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Monitor site performance and implement corrective actions to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Heavy Equipment Management:
  • Manage the deployment, utilization, and maintenance of heavy equipment.
  • Ensure equipment operates at optimal capacity while minimizing downtime and costs.
• Safety & Compliance:
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations across all project sites.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to maintain a zero-harm workplace.
• Team Leadership:
  • Supervise, mentor, and lead site teams, including supervisors, operators, and support staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Reporting & Coordination:
  • Prepare regular operational reports for senior management.
  • Coordinate with project management, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Must be a licensed Mining Engineer.
• Experience: At least 5 to 10 years of experience in a supervisory position within open pit mining and/or quarrying operations.
• Technical Skills: Knowledgeable in the management of heavy equipment operation is a strong advantage.
• Location Flexibility: Willing to work in project sites located in Luzon & Mindanao areas.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Excellent communication and people-management skills.
