Summary:
The Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team of sales representatives to achieve departmental and company sales goals. This role involves coaching, training, and providing day-to-day guidance to the sales team, as well as developing and implementing strategies to drive revenue and ensure exceptional customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership and Management:
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to meet and exceed sales quotas.
* Conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings to review performance, provide feedback, and share sales strategies.
* Monitor individual and team sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective action plans.
* Create and manage work schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and optimal team productivity.
* Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new sales team members.
* Sales Strategy and Execution:
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market share and revenue.
* Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges.
* Ensure the sales team has the necessary resources and tools to succeed.
* Work with the Sales Manager to set sales targets and budgets.
* Customer Relationship Management:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers.
* Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
* Ensure the sales team provides high-quality customer service and a positive buying experience.
* Training and Development:
* Provide ongoing training and coaching to the sales team to improve their product knowledge, sales techniques, and negotiation skills.
* Organize and lead training sessions on new products, services, or sales tools.
* Conduct performance reviews and help team members with professional development plans.
* Reporting and Administration:
* Prepare and present regular sales reports to management, including key performance indicators (KPIs), sales forecasts, and progress toward targets.
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and team performance in a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
* Ensure the team adheres to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Requirement:
1. 3 to 5 years experience in sales.
2. Retail or FMCG background.
3. BSc or HND in Marketing.
