 About Job:

ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI (IDUAPRIEM) LIMITED (A subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti Limited) operate the combine Teberebie and Iduapriem open-pits gold mines at Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana and has a work force of over 1400, including contractors.  

Role Purpose: 

The purpose of the Officer- Sustainability role is to engage a competent person to produce departmental monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as oversee SAP administration, Document Control, and other administrative responsibilities of the Sustainability Department.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Provide administrative support to Senior Manager, Sustainability
  • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Handle email and phone correspondence, responding to routine inquiries.
  • Prepare and edit documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Anticipate and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient use of Senior Manager’s time.
  • Develop and implement effective filing systems, both physical and digital.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and conferences.

Person’s Specification

Qualification:

  • Tertiary qualification (Diploma/Degree) in Business Administration, Communication, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Development Studies, Agriculture or a related field.                                      

Experience:

• 1-3 years working experience within the mining industry or similar environment.

 Other Competencies

  • Proficient in microsoft office tools.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Organisational abilities and people management skills.
  • Must pay attention to details.
  • Must be able to drive Light Vehicles with a valid Ghanaian Driving License. 
  • Good human relations.
