THE ROLE
The Branch and Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the branch and its operational activities. You will drive business growth, ensure exceptional customer service delivery, maintain operational efficiency, and ensure strict adherence to the bank's policies and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee the day-to-day running of the branch and all operational activities
• Drive branch business development, deposit mobilisation, and customer acquisition targets
• Ensure consistently high standards of customer service and experience
• Supervise and develop branch staff to deliver performance targets
• Maintain operational controls, ensure compliance with internal policies, and prevent fraud and losses
• Monitor and report on branch performance metrics to regional and head office management
• Resolve escalated customer complaints promptly and professionally
• Ensure adherence to all CBN guidelines and applicable banking regulations
• Support the bank's digital adoption agenda by championing digital product uptake among customers
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 7 years' banking experience with at least 3 years in a branch management or operations leadership role
• Strong business development and customer relationship management skills
• Solid understanding of branch banking operations, teller management, and vault controls
• Knowledge of CBN regulations and banking operational standards
• Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• CIBN membership or relevant professional certification is an added advantage
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Residence in or ability to relocate to Benue State is required
